Michael Page Logistics are looking to recruit a Global Freight Forwarding Manager for a client in Reading.

Client Details

Our client offers specialist Logistics services for a wide range of goods across defence, nuclear and medical.

Description

In the role of Global Freight Forwarding Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

• Overseeing imports & Exports Dangerous Goods & General Freight
• Dealing with HMRC / IATA and any queries
• Main point of contact for AEO, dealing with audits.
• Arranging import and export custom clearances for airfreight shipments and road freight shipments.
• Liaisng with overseas agents

Profile

We are looking to speak with candidates that meet the following criteria:

• Experienced managing within the Freight Forwarding sector
• Good working knowledge of the dangerous goods or highly regulated sectors
• The ability to maximise the financial performance of the team and to encourage the growth of the business
• An effective communicator at all levels with the personal motivation and confidence to have a positive impact within the company and with clients
• Significant experience in developing management teams within a similar complex logistics operation
