Altum Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic philanthropic organisation dedicated to tackling air pollution, in its search for a new Global Finance Manager.

This crucial role will report directly to the Head of Finance and manage a Finance Officer, providing leadership across financial control, reporting, statutory compliance, and donor reporting. With a newly implemented accounting system and a global remit, this position is central to ensuring that Clean Air Fund's financial systems, processes, and controls are robust, efficient, and fit for purpose.
This role is based in London, with an expectation to spend 50% of the time in the office, and will offer a salary of up to £65,000 per annum, plus benefits including flexible working, pension, and a strong commitment to professional development.
Key duties will include:Overseeing financial management and control, including payroll, reconciliations, procurement, payments, and month-end close.
Leading on budgeting and forecasting processes, including the production of monthly management accounts, cash flow monitoring, and donor reporting.
Producing statutory accounts, managing external audits, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Acting as the superuser for financial and payments systems, ensuring processes are streamlined, efficient, and globally applicable.
Supporting the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and Board with timely and accurate financial reporting.
Managing and supporting the Finance Officer and overseeing overseas subsidiary financial operations.
Partnering with the Operations team on automation and process improvements, and supporting procurement oversight.
Be a qualified accountant (CCAB) with post-qualification experience.
Have significant experience within the NGO, philanthropic, or international not-for-profit sector, with strong knowledge of Charity SORP.
Demonstrate expertise in financial control, statutory reporting, and donor/grant compliance in an international context.
Possess strong technical skills in financial systems, accounting processes, and data analysis, with advanced Excel proficiency.
Bring experience in managing audits, funder reporting, and cross-border financial compliance.
Be a proactive leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of training, supporting, and influencing non-finance colleagues.
