About the Role
The Bookkeeper will be integral to a team dedicated to supporting international clients with their business operations in the UK. This role involves managing various bookkeeping tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage payroll postings, purchase and sales ledgers, and invoice processing.
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Perform month-end reconciliations and revaluations.
- Set up payment runs and handle contractor communications.
- Maintain correspondence with clients to request necessary information.
- Download information from cloud-based systems and liaise with HMRC as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Fluency in business German, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a practice environment.
- Experience working overseas in a German-speaking country is desirable.
- Proficiency in Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-centered focus.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines, learn new tasks, and take initiative.
