Responsibilities

As a Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and managing ground investigations.
  • Conducting Phase 1 desk studies and preparing interpretative reports.
  • Performing geotechnical risk assessments.
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers while learning from senior and principal engineers.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in ground investigation and geotechnical engineering.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to commute to the Birmingham office.
Day-to-Day

Your typical day will involve a mix of office-based and site-based activities, including:

  • Planning and supervising ground investigations.
  • Analysing data and preparing technical reports.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Engaging with clients to provide updates and address project needs.
  • Contributing to the development of junior team members.
