Generator Engineer – North West England

Salary: Up to £40,000 basic (plus overtime & benefits)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Generator Engineer to join a leading power solutions provider in the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who takes pride in delivering first-class service and technical expertise.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, service, fault-finding, and repair of a wide range of diesel generators – ensuring minimal downtime for customers and exceptional reliability of their power systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel generators (various makes and sizes)
• Conduct fault diagnosis and carry out efficient repairs
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Attend emergency call-outs and breakdowns when required
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Work both independently and as part of a team

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Generator Engineer or similar role in power generation
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of diesel engines and alternators
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
