General Maintenance Technician - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a forward-thinking engineering business to recruit a truly unique role for a General Maintenance Technician working across both of their sites in West Yorkshire.

Days only: Monday to Thursday 7am - 3:15pm, Friday 6am-1pm

The General Maintenance Technician will support the Production and Operations Teams by ensuring their machinery and the fabric of the factory is fully operational, working on PPM tasks as well as reactive breakdowns, both mechanical and electrical. You will also be trained in testing the completed manufactured product with and end of process electrical testing rig.

Key Responsibilities of the General Maintenance Technician:

• Service, install, maintain, and repair manufacturing machinery and assemblies across both production sites
• Conduct equipment and final product testing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Participate fully in the site teams whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all work meets quality and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

Skills & Experience for the General Maintenance Technician include:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering role ideally within a machinery based manufacturing environment
• Skilled mechanical fitter and competent with 415V 3-phase electrical systems
• Understanding of electrical compliance regulations
• Minimum 17th Edition electrical certification
• Ability to work independently with both written and verbal instructions and engineering drawings
• Full UK driving licence to travel between sites
