About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible General Cover Teacher to join the committed staff in the city of Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the education and development of students across a range of subjects. you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of learning for students in the absence of their regular teachers. You will be responsible for supervising classes, delivering pre-planned work, and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Requirements:
- A degree or relevant qualification (QTS is desirable but not essential).
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service.
- The eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage student behaviour effectively and in line with the school's policies.
- Create a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
- Answer student questions about the work set and provide guidance where appropriate.
- Gather and return completed work and resources to the appropriate teacher.
- Take pupil registration at the start of each lesson.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the relevant staff members.
- Support the school's ethos and values in all professional interactions.
- Undertake break time and lunchtime duties.
- Be available to assist with other administrative or support tasks when not covering a class.
