Job Description :

You will deliver a wide range of responsive maintenance activities to a diverse customer base and deliver excellent customer service. You will achieve a ‘first time fix’ through correct diagnosis, multi-trade working and an effective relationship with the supply chain. You will liaise with Customers, the Repairs Field Manager, supply chain colleagues, Customer Services staff and multi-trade workforce. You will adopt and promote the Great Places operating principles for Responsive Maintenance within a multi-trade team.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will undertake the correct diagnosis and method of responsive maintenance to achieve a ‘first time fix’ and outstanding customer satisfaction
  • You will contribute to and use the criteria and scope for responsive repairs to maximise use of the available expenditure
  • You will contribute to and use the relevant mobile working solution for job allocation, data transfer and collection
  • You will adopt a flexible responsive maintenance service between the core working hours (currently Monday to Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm) and an out of hours service at all other times
  • You will provide a high level of customer service at all times, behaving in a respectful, courteous and polite manner to internal and external customers when representing Great Places Housing Group
  • You will follow the Group’s equal opportunities policies and practices and promote cultural diversity across all aspects of the team’s work.
  • You will undertake and contribute to a competence based framework through specific training and development initiatives

What you'll need:

  • Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent recognised competency in Bricklaying/General Building
  • Qualified to minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and maths
  • At least three years in the built environment, across multi-trades
  • Evidence of key competencies specifically in Joinery (core trade) plumbing, plastering, and tiling
  • Evidence of delivering first class customer service in responsive maintenance
  • Working with the supply chain associated with responsive maintenance
  • Working with a multi-disciplined services delivery team (within the built environment)
  • Use of full range of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Effective liaison with staff/other stakeholders to give information/find information/resolve problems
  • Organisation and ability to time-manage work load
  • Able to deliver a high standard of customer service
  • The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills

If you are under 21 but with 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence you would be required to complete an on-line driver monitoring assessment and additional in vehicle assessment prior to starting your role funded by Great Places.
