GCSE Maths Lecturer - Reed : Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GCSE Maths Lecturer to join a dynamic team at one of the largest colleges in Birmingham. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students aged 16+, helping them achieve their full potential in Maths at GCSE level.

Location: Birmingham, Bordesley Green.Contract Type: Full time & Part time Temporary hours availableSalary:  £26 - £28 per hour including holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Support students in developing literacy, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students, fostering a positive learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths in a further education or secondary setting.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to inclusive education and student success.
