Gardener needed in Wakefield £13.26ph

Role Summary:The Gardener will carry out a variety of horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks, contributing to cleaner, safer, and greener public spaces across the Wakefield District. The role supports community pride and environmental quality through efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services in line with Client standards and policies.
• Operate safely and professionally, adhering to health and safety legislation.
• Work flexibly across teams and locations, supporting other services when required.
• Maintain and operate a range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
• Undertake planting, pitch marking, pest control, and general horticultural duties.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Gardeners and work independently when necessary.
• Respond to emergency incidents and assist with seasonal tasks such as winter gritting and clean-ups.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
