Gardener - Octave Recruitment Ltd : Job Details

We are looking for a Gardener in Preston, Lancashire.

This is a temporary ongoing contract. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 4.30pm. The role is to start asap.

Previous grounds experience is preferred.

Duties will include

-To support the delivery of the Horticultural maintenance service within the City’s Parks, Nature reserves, gardens and green spaces.

-To carry out a wide range of gardening duties including operating machinery such as ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, hedge trimmers and brush cutters.

-To carry out the day-to-day maintenance of the facilities provided within the City’s open spaces including the application of chemical herbicides and driving Parks Vehicles when required.

-To clean and remove litter, graffiti fly tipping and other material from parks, buildings, and structures, both internally and externally and to empty bins as required.

Requirements

-Experience of working in parks and open spaces

-Knowledge of health and safety requirements

-Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

-Current driving licence (preferred)
