£30,000 Per Annum

My client is a multi-national furniture & upholstery manufacturer, who produce beautifully hand-crafted furniture for the UK furniture market and big brands within the furniture retail sector across the UK, Scotland and Ireland. Currently experiencing an exciting period of growth, they wish to appoint experienced Furniture Consultant or Key Account Relationship Manager, to act as the go between, between the company and their largest and most profitable Furniture Retail client.

This is a highly visible role for the successfully appointed Furniture Consultant / Key Account Manager, who will be responsible for the delivery and development of high-profile service solutions for the business.

The main focus of the role will include taking an initial brief from the client, dealing with designers, buyers and taking these ideas through to sign off. Then through the factory with the development team, in house production and through to delivery. Its a fun, exciting and varied role, which isn't your average Account Manager or Client Liaison role.

Furniture Consultant & Key Account Manager role:

  • You will be managing one of the companies largest and most profitable retail furniture clients on a day-to-day basis.
  • Acting as liaison between the customer and the business (development, design and manufacturing departments)
  • Developing new administrative processes and service level agreements
  • Working closely with Directors and customers representatives to devise and implement administrative and ordering processes.
  • First contact with customers and be expected to consistently provide excellent customer service.
  • Clearly communicate client requirements and goals within the business and ensure quality of service delivery.
  • Effectively manage and keep on top of all email, communications, requests and queries from the customer, on a daily basis

Furniture Consultant & Key Account Manager experience:

  • It is essential that you can manage a busy administrative workload as a high level of communication from the client will be email and admin based.
  • Strong IT skills and experience of working with multi-functional software on different platforms.
  • Previous experience of a Key Account or Administration environment
  • Highly organised and comfortable working towards deadlines
  • Ability to breakdown complex information to explain it simply to other departments within the business.
  • Ability to listen and retain important information.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Objection handling
  • Ideally have Account Manager experience from within the retail, furniture or upholstery sector (but not essential)
