We have a fantastic opportunity for a Furnished Tenancy Officer at Sheffield City Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 2 - 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Sheffield City Council are looking for a Furnished Tenancy Officer for the next 2 – 3 months, your role will be to deliver a frontline customer service to Furnished Accommodation tenants and carries out Deed of variation, pre quit negotiations and other administration duties.

What are your responsibilities?

  • To assist the Furnished Operations Officers in gathering information to achieve a successful procurement framework.
  • Arrange recharges for damage and loss of council assets and property.
  • Manage council assets in furnished properties, by carrying out and completing relevant administration duties.
  • Report any Safeguard, system warning issues to an approved referrer.
  • Give Customers a positive impression of yourself and Sheffield City Council.
  • Adapt methods of communication to meet the needs of Furnished Accommodation Tenants.
  • Manage an effective and reliable customer service. Ensure that furnished tenants receive an excellent standard of customer care and efficient service delivery.
  • Identify areas for improvement by contributing in meetings, including minute taking.
  • Ensure that administrational duties are consistent, accurate and to a high standard.
  • Manage the planning and organisation of your workload to minimise customer inconvenience.
  • Assist in the quitting and letting of Furnished Tenancies in line with Housing Policy and processes.
  • Contribute to working relationships with team members, other members of staff, outside organisations and members of the public.

What skills do you Need?

  • Must have ideally Furnished Tenancy Officer / Housing experience.
  • Excellent People skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and senior managers.
  • Strong IT skills, as you will be using word and excel and inputting important information on systems.
  • Excellent Telephone manner
