This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about providing expert legal and regulatory guidance on Irish funds.You will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the organisation's European fund offerings, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure robust compliance and effective product development. What you'll do:

• Provide comprehensive legal and regulatory advice on the organisation's Irish funds range, including conducting research, structuring new products, overseeing launches, maintaining existing funds, and engaging with external law firms as needed.
• Deliver strategic counsel to business leaders regarding product development initiatives and organisational changes, ensuring all activities align with current regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation as well as material service provider agreements to safeguard the organisation's interests.
• Conduct detailed regulatory analysis and maintain up-to-date awareness of relevant legal developments affecting Irish funds.
• Advise on fund governance matters, supporting best practices across all aspects of fund management.
• Collaborate with global legal teams (OGC) and other business units to represent the European legal function effectively within the wider organisation.
• Support the broader Product/IMG Legal team by sharing insights, assisting with complex queries, and contributing to group objectives.

What you bring:

• Qualified lawyer with at least five years' post-qualification experience gained either in-house at an international asset management organisation or within private practice handling financial services legal matters.
• Proven technical expertise interpreting funds regulation-particularly UCITS-with additional experience in AIFs considered advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability advising on indexing funds (including ETFs), with further experience in portfolio management (equity or fixed income) or European money market funds seen as beneficial but not essential.
• Experience responding to consultation papers and implementing compliance strategies for regulatory change projects is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills enabling you to explain complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences while fostering positive stakeholder relationships.
• Outstanding negotiation abilities combined with meticulous attention to detail when drafting or reviewing documentation.
