Look no further because our client, a leading training and apprenticeship provider, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Functional Skills Tutor in Marchwood.

Purpose of the Position:

As a Functional Skills Tutor, your mission is to deliver top-notch training programs that equip military learners with the essential functional skills required for their role. You will be responsible for providing face-to-face and remote support to around 30 learners in English and Maths. With a focus on Royal Logistics and Royal Engineering learners, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their knowledge and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective face-to-face and remote functional skills training in English and Maths to military learners.
  • Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough performance assessments and maintain up-to-date records of learners' progress.
  • Build positive relationships with learners and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in functional skills training.
Job Requirements:
  • Significant experience delivering functional skills training, preferably in a military or defence training context.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • PTLLS is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for remote teaching and learning.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners effectively.
  • Flexibility in working hours and a very flexible working approach.
  • Driving licence and access to own car

My client is offering:

  • A starting salary of £28,000 - £29,000
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week contract
