Functional Skills Lecturer - Reed : Job Details

Location: BirminghamStart Date: SeptemberRate of Pay: £26.43 - £28.67 per hour

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Functional Skills Maths & English Teacher to join a college in Birmingham. This temporary ongoing role is set to start in September 2025 and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Maths and English.
• Help students achieve their functional skills qualifications.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress.

Qualifications Needed:

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, Cert Ed).
• A degree in Mathematics, English, or a related subject.
• Experience in teaching Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English.
• Strong understanding of the current curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
