Position: Full-Time Teaching AssistantLocation: Primary School, South Liverpool

Role Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced educators to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and contribute to their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and collaboration.
  • Help to maintain a safe, tidy, and organised learning environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform instructional planning.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers to support the holistic development of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse student needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN and experience working with students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant safeguarding training and a valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain) are required.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
