About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher to join our dedicated team across two residential care settings in Liverpool. Working with children and young people aged 10–18 who are in care and have a range of special educational needs, you will deliver core subjects and cross-curricular learning while providing strong pastoral support and behaviour management.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and cross-curricular themes
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH, ASD, and other complex needs
Build trusting relationships with students and support their emotional and social development
Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with trauma-informed practice
Work collaboratively with residential staff, therapists, and external agencies
Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and educational planning
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD, and complex needs
Strong behaviour management skills and a pastoral approach to teaching
Ability to adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles and emotional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people
