A leading, award-winning architectural practice is seeking a proactive and professional Front of House Manager to join their creative and collaborative studio. This central role is essential to the smooth running of daily operations and maintaining a welcoming, polished environment for staff, clients, and guests. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, clients, and calls, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Manage daily attendance communication and front desk emails
- Maintain tidy and well-stocked meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Organise and manage internal meeting schedules and catering requirements
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and courier bookings
- Order and manage office stationery, refreshments, and consumables
- Coordinate Friday afternoon refreshments and in-house presentation logistics
- Ensure reception is always covered by coordinating holiday and lunch breaks with admin staff
- Onboard new admin team members and ensure consistent front of house standards
- Prepare new starter welcome packs and update internal staff materials and contact details
- Manage the CPD seminar schedule and coordinate work experience placements
- Liaise with cleaners and external suppliers to maintain the studio environment
- Support fire marshal duties, maintain the office key register, and oversee contractor visits
- Manage waste and recycling logistics and maintain off-site storage records
- Keep staff and supplier details updated in the Disaster Recovery Manual
- Collate recycling, printing, and staff travel data for quarterly reporting
- Maintain the office contact database and ensure compliance with the practice’s quality management system
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a front-of-house, reception, or office coordination role
- Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional phone manner
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Proactive and self-motivated with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Friendly, approachable, and confident in dealing with people at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Interest in working within a creative or design-led studio environment
