Make a Difference in Fraud Prevention and Victim Safeguarding

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Fraud Safeguarding Protect Officer to join the local police force’s Serious and Organised Crime / Economic Crime Unit. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in protecting vulnerable individuals from fraud and supporting community safety across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and safeguard medium to high-risk fraud victims.
• Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to implement protective measures.
• Monitor and improve the Vulnerable Victim’s Matrix and related procedures.
• Identify emerging fraud trends using NFIB data to inform prevention strategies.
• Deliver fraud awareness presentations and support public engagement events.
• Provide high-quality advice and information to internal teams and the public.
• Collaborate with Cyber Protect teams on joint initiatives.

?? What You’ll Need:

Essential:

• Educated to QCF Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience preparing and delivering presentations.
• Ability to write clear, concise reports.

Desirable:

• Experience in a fraud-related environment and understanding of its challenges.

Additional Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight required).
