Harmonic are proud to have been engaged exclusively by a global retail & design scaleup in their search for an FP&A Lead.

The Client

This role has been newly created in response to their continued growth. With a reporting line into the CFO, this role joins a business which has experienced 25% year-on-year growth, seeing turnover exceed £70m whilst balancing out having sustainable and ethical products and practices.

As a result there is a genuine opportunity for a FP&A Lead to make their mark on their next phase of growth. The FP&A position will strengthen their financial planning, maximise profitability, and lead on 3 & 5 year strategic planning as well as automation/AI projects - delivering a best in class function.

The nature of our clients revenue streams are diverse, with a focus of sustainably sourced and elegantly designed products paired with a design service element. Our ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of key metrics / KPI within a product based industry, as well as business acumen which would deliver on international growth; their markets currently include UK, Europe and the US.

The Role

The FP&A Lead will work alongside various key stakeholders in the business; this includes anyone from the Commercial Director through to the senior management team with a focus on delivering forward facing insights. Part of the role will be optimizing NetSuite and its functionality whilst also upskilling the non-finance stakeholders on budgets/forecasts/variance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the FP&A function, working closely with the CFO and Finance Controller to dial in the function.
• Take full ownership of the finance modelling process including production of the 3 & 5 year growth models. This includes multi-entity, multi-currency financial models for growth and scenario planning.
• Drive profitability and margin improvement through strategic analysis and cost-saving initiatives.
• Optimise procurement, supply chain, and third-party warehouse operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Implement process improvements that streamline workflows and improve the speed of their revenue recognition.
• Build and maintain dashboards for real-time financial and operational KPIs on NetSuite.
• Deliver 3-5 year plans and forecasts aligned with the business strategy.
• Partner with Finance Managers in the UK, Europe, and US to ensure robust international reporting.
• Collaborate with heads of: operations, procurement, and logistics teams to link financial targets with operational delivery.
• Present quarterly forecast updates and recommendations to the board and business unit heads.
• Lead ad-hoc strategic projects, including vendor due diligence, legal due diligence, and sales processes.

What our client would like to see (essential):

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Proven experience owning financial models end-to-end.
• Skilled in building or improving dashboards, ideally in NetSuite.
• Background in retail, supply chain, or similar product-led industry.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

What we would like to see (non-essential):

• ACA-qualified accountant (practice trained).
• Experienced in overseeing payroll processes and compliance.
• Genuine interest in sustainability and its impact on business.

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 + generous bonus + benefits

Start Date: ASAP (immediate start preferred)
