Interim FP&A Analyst Job
Our client is entering a transformative phase as we prepare to become part of a larger US-based organisation. This transition brings both exciting opportunities and significant change. To help navigate this period, we're seeking an experienced and adaptable FP&A Analyst to join our small but busy FP&A team for a period of 6 months.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and is looking to play a key role in supporting integration efforts while maintaining robust financial planning and analysis processes.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis-adapting to evolving reporting requirements.
- Provide backup for core reporting during the integration period to ensure continuity.
- Consolidate and analyse data from multiple sources and present insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Support product-level and customer-level revenue/margin analysis.
- Assist with scenario modelling, ad-hoc analytics, and strategic decision-making support.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Collaborate with business partners to align assumptions with the new organisational structure and identify risks/opportunities.
Integration Support
- Support integration with our new parent company-this may include updating financial models, reporting packs, and adapting to new planning cycles.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives such as process documentation, system migrations, and automation efforts.
- Assist with the transition to new ERP/reporting systems, charts of accounts, or cost centre structures.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a bridge between FP&A, accounting, and operational teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance audiences.
General Support
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the business during this critical transition.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-10 years' experience in FP&A, business finance, or financial analysis roles.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills; proficiency with Power BI and advanced Excel techniques.
- Experience with Tier 1 systems (SAP, Oracle) and CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Comfortable operating in periods of uncertainty or change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) are a plus.
