FP&A Accountant - Reed : Job Details

We are recruiting for a Financial Planning Accountant to join a forward-thinking organisation based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. As a Financial Planning Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial planning services across the organisation. Reporting to the FP&A Manager you will support the annual Business Planning process for both subsidiaries and the Group. Your expertise will ensure the integrity of financial forecasting models and that long-term financial projections are robust and aligned with current accounting policies.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

• Support the Finance Managers in updating subsidiary Business Plan models, ensuring financial projections are based on robust data and reflect strategic decisions.
• Ensure financial statements and key ratios for subsidiaries meet current accounting and reporting requirements.
• Identify key risks and perform sensitivity and scenario testing on business plans.
• Update business plan models to reflect revised forecasts
• Prepare financial forecast information for regulatory and key stakeholder reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality financial information, modelling, and advice for strategic initiatives and projects.

To be considered for the role, you must possess the following experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS).
• Previous experience in a FP&A position or possess financial modelling experience.
• Strong communication skills to engage with key stakeholders.
• Ability to work to your own initiative.
