Forklift Truck Logistics Coordinator Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm
• Friday 7.30am to 1.00pm
• 37.5 per week worked

Forklift Truck Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities

• Safety, quality, efficiency and customer service is a priority in this role.
• Using your import and export knowledge, you will facilitate the receiving, moving and shipping of scientific supplies, stock materials and products.
• You will manage the flow of orders, requiring strong reliance on monitoring and coordination of delivery pickup and/or drop-off schedules.
• You will execute the logistics plan for both domestic and international projects with an emphasis on controlling costs whilst meeting schedule, customer and compliance requirements.
• Receiving material into the facility and distribution to the appropriate points of use
• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
• Working in FIFO manner, using the oldest items first, to ensure all jobs are processed sequentially
• Managing courier deliveries and collections; and tracking accordingly
• Maintain good inventory accuracy with a meticulous level of detail
• Interface with worldwide customs, freight forwarders and clearing agents
• Maintaining accurate stock holding and performing inventory counts where applicable
• Identifying, investigating and processing inventory discrepancies
• Loading and unloading deliveries manually and via forklift truck operation
• Ensuring timely dispatch of sales orders to the daily sales order backlog
• Updating data on all spreadsheets required for import and export compliance
• Ad hoc tasks, all aspects of working within a busy receiving and dispatch environment are required to be carried out

Forklift Truck Logistics Coordinator Requirements

• To live within a reasonable distance of Ipswich.
• Your own transport due to the location.
• Import and export knowledge, with an understanding of Incoterms.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Email, and the Internet.
• Forklift truck experience.
• Experience of picking and packing orders.
• Good, clear, communication skills.
• Confidence to speak with customs, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal departments.
• A good team player with the ability to work without supervision
• Ability to always maintain a positive approach
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs requirements
• Very organised with attention to detail
