£70,000 - £80,000 + bonus

Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their high calibre team in Manchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful global blue-chip business where you will play a key role in delivering financial reporting across group entities, audit liaison and driving improvements to processes and financial controls. You will enjoy a varied role which will see you managing, coaching and developing a high performing finance team, ensuring the accurate and timely production of reporting in accordance with internal & group reporting deadlines and playing a key role in making sure standards are implemented and maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach and develop a high calibre team.
  • Handle the provision of timely and accurate financial statements and corporation tax returns.
  • Drive improvements to processes and systems.
  • Support the Head of Financial Reporting and Chief Financial Officer in providing financial information relevant to business decisions.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate financial controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments across the business.
  • Build strong working relationships with external audit partners.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries and financial information requests from internal stakeholders.

The Successful Individual:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong team management & development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting procedures and regulations (IFRS & UK GAAP).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments.
  • Ability to prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying areas of improvement.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
