We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager join our Finance team. In this position you will be heavily involved in the creation and delivery of financial reporting for their team, the wider finance team and wider business where needed.

What you will do:

  • Oversight of our month end reporting process including understanding and clearly articulating the results, ensuring a data driven approach.
  • Preparation of papers for Finance Committee and Audit Committee with the confidence to present this reporting to senior partners (including exec/board/external auditors).
  • Preparation of year end consolidated Group accounts, including liaison with Auditors.
  • Collaborate closely with all sub teams within the Finance department to understand the impact of any new accounting matters.
  • Drive, embed and develop new governance and controls as our company evolves.
  • Partner closely with FP&A and actuarial teams regarding monthly management reporting and other key matters.
  • Leadership of the Financial and Regulatory reporting team.

We’d love you to have:

  • A qualified accountant with post qualification experience (general insurance experience would be advantageous)
  • You can articulate financial results to a range of collaborators including Group Executive members and audit committees.
  • Curiosity for information and controls around where data is coming from, how its analysed and challenge data where it’s needed.
  • A natural problem solver and someone who can understand the business rationale for changes, whilst thinking of the accounting impacts.
  • The ability to lead, coach and mentor a team of Finance professionals.
  • Strong eye for detail when reviewing testing of policies, controls and reporting approach.
