Financial Data Automation Analyst - Pricing

Our client, a leading organization in finance, technology and financial news sector, is looking for diligent and highly motivated individuals to join their dynamic Mutual Funds team. This is a 12-month temporary contract with an immediate start date and would suit a candidate with a strong analytical mind and demonstratable interest in financial markets.

The project entails migrating the client's current pricing automations to a new cutting-edge tool. This transition is crucial for streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and staying at the forefront of industry technology. Your role will involve assisting in constructing the new automations and deactivating the old ones.

The successful candidates should express strong interest in Financial markets, Mutual Funds and their pricing structures.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the construction of new pricing automations within the new tool.
• Procuring data from different data providers.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure a smooth transition from the old automations to the new ones.
• Contributing your financial knowledge to align the new processes with industry standards.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing database.
• Ensuring data accuracy and consistency during the migration process.
• Applying problem-solving skills to enhance processes and software.
• Take ownership and be proactive with key areas of responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or/and Master's degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with financial instruments, valuation methodologies, and pricing models is must.
• Keen interest in financial markets & desire to bridge the gap between finance and technology is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must and experience with programming languages is preferred.
• Analytical skills to understand existing pricing automations and contribute to building improved processes in the new tool.
• Ability to quickly learn and master new tools and technologies.
• Ability to think critically and demonstrate examples of improving or developing processes.
• Strong organization skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
• Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast pace changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Verbal & Written).
• Ability to interact with leading finance professionals.
• Strong attention to detail.
