** Great Financial Controller Opportunity near Angmering, West Sussex **

Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a competent and credible Financial Controller to join a growing SME business in West Sussex, offering a friendly and cohesive culture, as well as 1-2 days working from home. This role reports to the Finance Director and would suit an experienced Financial Controller with exceptional team leadership skills.

The main purpose of the role is to support and coach the finance team of 7, as well as being responsible for the accounting records of the firm, support the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes, preparing the annual budget, monthly statements and other financial reports. In addition, this person will develop financial processes and controls.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• This involves analysing financial performance including forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Managing all the financial aspects of the Company's business
• This involves analysing financial performance including forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Prepare and present the annual budget and financial forecasting for review and report on variances
• Preparing, analysing and publishing all monthly financial statements
• Creating reports which identifies results, trends and forecasts and enable decision making
• Responsibility for the finance team.
• Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
• Helping the Finance Director in presenting reports to board members, senior executives, and board members

The successful candidate:

• A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5 years+ post qualified experience
• Experience supervising a team with the ability to step into the detail as well as being able to step back.
• Retail sector experience is helpful, with stock/inventory. 
• Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge
• Possess strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Advanced Excel, Powerpoint and Word
