Financial Controller - manufacturing business - PRATAP PARTNERSHIP LTD : Job Details

A large manufacturing company in Sheffield are recruiting for a Financial Controller. You will join a business that promises to be one of the manufacturing success stories in South Yorkshire. Having received significant private equity investment, they have been looking at new markets and enjoying exponential growth. The outlook for the next year is extremely positive. 

Reporting to the CFO you will play a pivotal role in managing and running the day-to-day accounting function for the business and managing the Team

• Oversee full month end close process, including management accounts, inventory valuations, balance sheet reconciliations and all other reporting
• Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
• Production of financial and operational performance reports to the senior leadership team
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial plans with business objectives
• Financial compliance lead for internal & external audit requirements
• Developing, support and mentoring of finance team of 5

You will be:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (will consider QBE or part qualified)
• Demonstrable experience in a relevant manufacturing environment at a senior level
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and Statutory Accounts
• Have advanced level IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and E-mail
• Previous experience of staff management
