Job Description :
An opportunity to join a fast growing business consultancy who partner with scaling SMEs - typically businesses that have recently secured funding or are preparing for investment. You’ll step in as part of their leadership teams, helping to design the financial infrastructure and commercial insight needed to accelerate growth.This isn’t about routine compliance - it’s about problem-spotting, mapping processes, implementing systems, and delivering the FP&A and strategic input that makes scale possible.What You’ll Be DoingStrategic Finance & Compliance
  • Act as an outsourced Financial Controller/Finance Business Partner to a portfolio of ambitious, high-growth clients.
  • Oversee statutory filings (corporation tax, VAT, self-assessments) - ensuring compliance while identifying efficiencies and tax-saving opportunities.
Financial Planning & Advisory
  • Produce and present monthly management accounts, translating data into actionable insight.
  • Lead on forecasting, financial modelling and business planning to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with founders and leadership teams to identify challenges, shape strategies, and unlock growth opportunities.
Systems, Processes & Operations
  • Map out processes and implement new systems, financial controls and reporting frameworks to support scale.
  • Manage and review bookkeeping and accounts activities, stepping in with hands-on support during peak periods.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members, building capability and confidence across functions.
Client Growth & Relationships
  • Own your portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, expos, and client meetings - strengthening relationships and creating new opportunities.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong practice background or senior finance leadership experience.
  • Confident in advisory roles – working closely with business owners and leadership teams.
  • Commercially sharp, proactive, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Strong in FP&A, modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategy.
  • Enjoys variety – hands-on when needed, but equally at home shaping the big picture.
