Financial Controller - Savant Recruitment : Job Details

We are working with a growing international business who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the end-to-end finance function. This is a broad and hands-on role, offering exposure to both operational and strategic finance in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance function, including management accounting, financial reporting, tax, and compliance.
• Oversee and mentor a small finance team.
• Deliver group consolidated management accounts, board reporting, and cashflow forecasting.
• Manage system implementation and optimisation (NetSuite and related integrations).
• Drive automation and process improvements across finance and operations.
• Liaise with senior leadership on strategic finance initiatives and business planning.
• Coordinate with overseas accountants to ensure international compliance.
• Oversee annual audit and statutory accounts preparation.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with broad post-qualification experience (SME or international group exposure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS.
• Exposure to the Financial Services sector and FCA reporting would be desirable
• Experience with finance systems implementation (NetSuite highly desirable).
• Ability to build relationships across the business and influence at all levels.
