RG Consultancy are working exclusively with a fantastic manufacturing business in Wythenshawe who are looking for a new Financial Controller to work closely with the CEO. This is a number one in finance role with scope for progression as the company continues to grow. This is a brand new role created due to company growth and expansion plans, the role is great for an established financial controller aspiring to become a Financial Director within a growing business

Role responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth
• Oversee accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
• Review, streamline, and strengthen finance processes, systems, and internal controls
• Manage working capital effectively, ensuring strong cash flow and accurate financial results
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, insurers, and other key external partners to optimise services and secure competitive terms
• Collaborate with other departments on projects, providing financial insight and delivering ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions
• Take ownership of tax, payroll, and statutory audit processes, ensuring compliance and timely delivery

Person Specification

• Fully qualified; CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent (finalists may be considered)
• At least 5+ years proven experience working within a finance management role
• Strong system and IT skills, experience with SAP Business One would be an advantage
• People management experience particularly in leading and developing a small finance team
• Commercial awareness and ability to communicate with non-finance employees
• Highly ambitious, motivated and commitment to a longer-term plan to grow within the business
