Are you a detail-driven finance professional ready to make an impact across multiple countries in a fast-paced, international environment? This is your opportunity to take ownership of financial control across a diverse EMEA region, working from our regional hub in Amsterdam.
Our client - a global enterprise headquartered in Houston with a significant EMEA presence - is looking for a Finance Controller to join their team of international experts. You'll be part of a dynamic regional accounting function that oversees 26 entities across 21 countries, ensuring full compliance with statutory and US GAAP reporting requirements.
What You'll DoAs a Finance Controller, you'll manage the financial integrity of multiple countries within the EMEA region. You'll work closely with other Controllers, the Shared Services team, and cross-functional colleagues to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance in all reporting activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting in-depth analytical reviews of trial balances and financial reports
Identifying and correcting errors through variance analysis and risk assessment
Reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations
Ensuring compliance with intercompany contracts, tax, and social security obligations
Preparing and reviewing audit documentation in coordination with Shared Services
Supporting cash flow forecasting and profitability assessments
Driving ad hoc financial projects with a proactive and collaborative mindset
We're seeking a confident finance professional who thrives in multicultural, multinational environments and enjoys working independently with autonomy and ownership.
You'll need:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (Bachelor's/Master's); professional qualifications like ACCA, CIMA, or Poland's Ministry of Finance Certificate are a plus
3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a global or regional finance function
A sharp eye for detail and a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
Strong communication skills in English - verbal and written
The ability to manage and prioritise across multiple stakeholders and countries
Proficiency with financial systems such as Oracle Financial, OneStream, MicroStrategy, or similar tools
A proactive, hands-on attitude and a strong sense of ownership
