Financial Controller - Reed : Job Details

Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their dedicated team. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of financial reporting for the group and leading a small finance team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, efficient, and possess a keen eye for detail. • Oversee and manage the financial position of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Produce and manage monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis.
• Provide advice and guidance on financial matters to support the company’s objectives and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support and challenge the Operational Management team to achieve budgeted targets.
• Maintain appropriate financial controls within the business.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules.
• Monitor key financial metrics and highlight departmental performance.
• Handle salary payroll processing and oversee wages payroll processing.
• Ensure HMRC compliance and reporting, including VAT returns, P11d, and PSA.
• Resolve queries in financial records and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Analyse data trends and changes to inform business strategy.
• Prepare annual budgets and provide line management and guidance to the finance team.

• Part or Fully Qualified - MAAT/ ACCA/CIMA or Similar 
• Proven track record within a busy finance team.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
