Financial Controller - Lincoln - £40k-£55k

The role of the Financial Controller
- Managing all accounting operations
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly management accounts to include full variance analysis to budget and forecast
- Ensuring all reporting is compliant with statutory law and financial regulations
- Ensuring compliance with all HMRC requirements
- Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Weekly drawdown and cashflow forecasts
- Management of the full working capital cycle (13-week cashflow forecasting, optimal utilisation of confidential commercial invoice financing, robust invoicing, credit control and supplier payment processes)
- Managing the full weekly and monthly payroll processes, including third party deductions
- Contributing fully to the company's financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Completing weekly entering of timesheets into payroll software and associated administration
- Assisting with company compliance and administration including legal paperwork
- Debtor Insurance - Maintenance of trading levels and renewals
- CIS returns
- Intermediary reporting
- Internal PAYE payroll
- Management of A/E Pension for internal and external PAYE staff
- Liaising and negotiating with current and prospective suppliers for items such as Public Liability and Debtor Insurance, Telephones, Stationary etc. to ensure cost effective purchasing
- Research and recommendations for companywide improvements and cost savings where possible
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Controller
- Previous experience in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager role
- AAT/ACCA/CIMA or QBE
- Highly PC literate and skilled with all Microsoft Office based applications including Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Experience with Xero would be advantageous.
- Accurate data entry and keen eye for detail.
