Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s market leading client are keen to add a Financial Controller to the current team on a permanent role in Glasgow. The company has a proven track record of successfully completing various high-profile projects around the UK.This excellent opportunity will involve working primarily for the leading and developing the finance function provision in a timely and accurate financial information. This role is ideal for an individual who can bring new ideas and help lead and deliver to senior management and our wider business ambitions. The successful candidate will be reporting to the company Managing Director.Key duties of the role include:
  • Shows strong leadership skills in assisting the development of the current finance department.
  • Responsible for demonstrating and producing budgets/long-range planning processes to the company business plan
  • Being able to support due diligence on growth plans
  • Confident individual who works well in a team environment, can also build and maintain client/customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal/written skills are essential to the Managing Director & Senior Management team
  • Lead Role in cashflows and Margin targets
  • Responsible for the preparation of Internal Financial Reports (Weekly cashflows, Monthly Managements, Quarterly projections).
  • KPI’s managing/reporting- customer & project profitability analysis.
  • Responsible for external financial reports (Audited Accounts)
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly VAT Returns/other HMRC regulations
Qualifications:
  • ICAS / ACCA /CIMA Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE
  • Strong analytical skills and able to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system related queries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with various computer accounting software packages and proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Desirable but not essential - Exposure to the construction/contract sector
On offer:
  • Salary £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
