We are currently offering a 6-month fixed term contract for a Financial Controller to join a leading manufacturing business based in Chatham. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to engage in a hands-on position and play a significant role in the strategic financial management of the company.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Oversee all transactional finance duties within the manufacturing sector.
• Conduct management accounting and business partnering with company directors.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Handle cash flow management efficiently.
• Prepare Month End and Year End accounts to final draft.
• Supervise royalty calculations, reporting, and compliance within the manufacturing context.
• Generate high volume monthly financial statements for clients.
• Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring professional development and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven finance and accounting background in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in a senior finance role, with a strong understanding of the specific financial operations within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial compliance and reporting standards.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is highly desirable, though not essential.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising and mentoring a team.
