Financial Analyst

Scania have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. In this role you will provide support to the Head of Finance, the wider Finance team and other functions across the business. This role requires you to be at least part qualified as an accountant with advanced knowledge of Excel. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking month end closing for the company’s contracts portfolio including the reconciliation of revenue and costs, calculation of deferred revenue and contract cost provision.
  • Calculating monthly contract recharges for large fleet customers, ensuring that invoicing is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments and in-depth analysis of department costs versus budget.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations including investigation and resolution of any queries.
  • Undertaking regular monthly reviews with departmental managers to identify ongoing trends and improvements in cost control.
  • Closely monitoring costs for all key projects and initiatives, providing analysis of current and future spend expectations.
  • Generating quarterly projections and taking a lead role in the production of annual budgets.
  • Assisting in the creation of KPI reports for the wider business.
  • Working closely with the Finance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance with internal controls and standards.
  • Assisting in the development and continual improvement of best practice in the finance area and supporting digitalisation and data innovation.
