Financial Accountant - Gleeson Recruitment Group : Job Details

This is a key hire, offering you the chance to take ownership of month-end, statutory accounts, and reporting, while being a part of a friendly and ambitious finance team. The company offers a hybrid setup (3 days in the office), a salary of up to £60,000 + bonus, and excellent progression opportunities as they continue to scale internationally.Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the reporting for and supporting with preparing monthly board packs, including financial commentary and analysis
• Producing annual statutory accounts in accordance with relevant reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP)
• Working closely with external auditors during year-end
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Supporting payroll administration in coordination with the external payroll provider
• Managing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Reviewing and improving internal controls and processes
• Collaborating with teams across the UK and international locations
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects as the business continues its growth journey

Candidate Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Ideally practice trained with strong experience in financial reporting and audit
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Confident Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting systems
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
