Financial Accountant - Heyland Recruitment : Job Details

My client a large group who currently work in partnership with some of the biggest household names in the UK & Ireland is looking to appoint a Financial AccountantThis Financial Accountant will focus on a specific business division and will work with the wider finance community and assume responsibility for the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all accounting in relation to the division.Key accountability's will include:

• Developing an in-depth understanding of the operation and capabilities of the division
• Providing training and support to the trading businesses in the use of the divisional accounting application
• Reviewing and reconciling the P&L and B/S across the Group each month with various data/information sources
• Assisting with the production of accounting papers
• Supporting and engaging with internal and external stakeholders on accounting queries
• Building and cultivating relationships with other teams to provide a valuable network of contacts to assist query resolutions
• Supporting the development of an IT solution as part of the SAP system upgrade

Candidate requirements;

• Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with proven post-qualification experience although qualified by experience will also be considered
• Advanced competency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge and experience of SAP is advantageous
