Financial Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

• Robert Half are excited to be working with an Exciting growing business to recruit a Financial Accountant, based full-time in office, in Cardiff Gate.

  This role will take assist in ensuring that all transactional data is processed accurately and on time, delivering exceptional customer service to the Operational Finance Team, as well as managing the production of financial statements at the month end.

  Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant and working closely with the Group Financial Controller you will also have great exposure and the opportunity to work with other parts of the business.

  This role has line management responsibilities of one Finance Officer.

  As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure that financial reporting, is produced accurately and within agreed timescales. This includes assisting in the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts by working day ten.
  • Produce the quarterly VAT returns.
  • Ensure robust financial controls (including strong month end processes) are in place to ensure that best practice is achieved, and risks mitigated.
  • Lead all statutory reporting and compliance, including year-end audit process

  Desired Profile:

  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or similar).
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Some staff management experience.
  • Enjoy a fast paced environment
  • Holds a can do attitude who enjoys a challenge
