Financial Accountant | Mansfield | £45,000 - £55,000

A prominent player in the automotive industry with a strong presence in the UK, is seeking a Financial Accountant, pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting audit processes to meet group standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure balance sheet control and VAT reconciliations are accurately maintained.
• Assist in preparing stock workings and fixed asset register maintenance.
• Collaborate in the production of statutory accounts and audit preparation schedules.
• Facilitate ONS Surveys and manage lease commitments effectively.

• Provide precise and timely accounts for group reporting.
• Conduct mapping of trial balance and GL codes into group standards.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and fulfill adhoc requests on IFRS requirements.

• Aid in producing management accounts for the Glass business segment.
• Support in generating management accounts for fitting operations.
• Identify process improvements for purchases and cost reporting alignment.
• Conduct cost centre reviews and assist in wholesale business budget preparations.
• Deliver adhoc reporting for wholesale management within the glass business.

What are you like?

• Qualified Accountant (AAT and QBE considered)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounts administration; Experience managing a small team
• Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles; Ability to analyse financial data and generate accurate reports; Interpersonal and people skills
• Business Requirements: UK travel may be required
