Ascent recruitment is pleased to support a successful Manchester-based business in their search for a qualified Financial Accountant.

This role, overseeing Audit, Statutory Accounts, and Tax responsibilities, is ideal for a detail-oriented, technical accountant looking to make their first or second move from practice.

Manchester-based/hybrid

£60,000 plus a 10% bonus

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead financial audits to meet statutory requirements.

- Prepare statutory accounts to relevant standards.

- Manage internal audit processes.

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in tax submissions.

- Assist in cost management.

- Drive business profitability through insightful financial analysis.

- Foster transparency in financial reporting.

- Provide financial support to non-finance functions.

- Oversee the balance sheet.

- Manage and mentor a finance assistant.

Key Skills and Experience:

- ACA or ACCA Qualified.

- Audit and Statutory Accounts experience.

- Proficiency in Corporation Tax and VAT.

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

- Ability to create and deliver comprehensive reports.

- Familiarity with formal governance processes.
