My client are seeking a diligent and analytic Financial Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. The successful applicant will play a key role in financial planning, reporting and control functions to drive business performance.

Description

Reporting into the Finance Director, the key responsibilities for the Financial Accountant will be:

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements/ accounting processes
• Maintain accounting records in strict compliance with my clients policies and accounting standards
• Produce monthly reports, while providing valuable recommendations for process improvement and strategic decision-making
• Conduct ad hoc analysis for the business area, addressing specific requirements as needed
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate and engage with other areas of the business and external stakeholders, offering support and insights on accounting queries
• Bank sheet reconciliations
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the operational aspect of the portfolio
• Take responsibility for allocated monthly review tasks, ensuring their thorough completion and accuracy.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise financial processes
• Participate in financial audits and resolve any discrepancies
• Offer financial insights to support business growth

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA etc
• Proficient knowledge of accounting software
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An analytic mindset with attention to detail
