Financial Accountant - Reed : Job Details

Seeking to a recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely internal and external reporting and managing the day-to-day finance function, including line management of a team of two.

• Develop and manage two Cost Centre Analysts, including conducting monthly performance reviews and providing support to meet objectives.
• Complete the month-end close process, prepare monthly accounts, and own monthly overhead costs and cost lines.
• Analyse monthly variances of OPEX and report results to Group.
• Manage the TM1 process for overhead cost centres and deliver monthly Cost Centre reports to budget owners.
• Ensure internal controls are operating effectively and coordinate LICS self-assessments.
• Understand and ensure accuracy of IFRS 16 calculations and lease reporting.
• Support compliance reporting, including Corporation Tax liability, VAT submissions, and government statutory surveys.
• Assist with the year-end audit and ad-hoc projects as necessary.

• Finalist or Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA).
• Previous Financial Accounting experience.
• Proficient in Excel, with experience in SAP, TM1, and Cognos preferred.
• Experience in managing or training junior staff.
• Thorough attention to detail and commitment to accurate work delivery.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
