Finance Systems Analyst - National Trust : Job Details

Summary The National Trust Finance Systems Team supports the finance ledgers that provide all our financial information throughout the Trust. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring that the integrity of the system is maintained and ensuring that only the right people have access to the system to do their job, alongside enabling the Trust to continue its portfolio of project work. This role is for a 9 month fixed term contract and is essential in supporting the financial teams providing the information key to the operational running of properties, places and outdoor spaces. There’s a great opportunity to learn new skills working within this busy and dynamic team. We are currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2024.What it's like to work here The Finance Service Centre (FSC) is responsible for the provision of all financial transaction processing services for properties, regions, countries and other departments across the Trust. Your contractual location will be Epsom Court and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing Day to day you’ll be checking the integrity of the system, checking interface processes, administering user requests, responding to emails, loading data, reviewing spreadsheets and working with a great team of finance systems analysts.  You’ll be communicating via Webex, emails and face-to-face with our finance service centre users when in the office. You’ll have had some experience with finance systems but we’re more interested in your ability to solve problems. Numeracy and an excellent knowledge of spreadsheets is essential to be effective in this role. Good communication is a must with this role as you’ll be working with a variety of people, finance and non-finance alike. For this position we’re looking for someone who has: •Good knowledge of Finance systems and database management  •Experience in supporting financial systems  •Disciplined and methodical approach to perform duties with the attention to detail  •Good communication skills  •Proficient working knowledge of standard PC software such as Excel and SharePoint with the ability to utilise these tools in a non-routine way  •Supporting financial systems  •Experience in the implementation of new or enhanced systems The package
