Job Title: Finance Support Analyst

Contract: Full time & Permanent; 37.5 hours per week

Location: Hoddesdon

Up to £25,000 (according to experience and qualifications) plus excellent benefits!

We are recruiting a Finance Support Analyst to join our Finance Support team based in Hoddesdon, however, occasional travel to our Gosport office and developments will be required.

What will you be doing?

As a Finance Support Analyst, you will help to ensure the timely and accurate operation of the Finance Support department including preparing or assisting in the preparation of finance reports and service charge budgets, replying to all finance queries from our Property Management team, Clients and Residents on all sites in the portfolio.

  • Provide financial assistance to Property Managers and liaise with other teams in RMG on their behalf
  • Prepare worksheets for budgets, review expenditure and any anomalies in the trading to date of property. Prepare template once budget approved, upload to system and raise the pre-list to prepare for demands to be issued
  • Interpret & Explain Service Charge accounts to Client / Property Manager
  • Liaise with Directors to resolve any queries or financial requests, also deal with residents and any queries that may arise.
  • Review Supplier Invoice queries from Property Manager
  • Resolve Expenditure Queries (if Cost heading is over budget explain variance)
  • Review Tenant Accounts when requested
  • Issue Client Reporting (Weekly/ Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Half-yearly) & maintain Manco Director Correspondence Address
  • Report to Regional Manager on - forthcoming Budgets, Client Reports, Fund Transfer performance of FS team, etc
  • Undertake Reserve Fund Reconciliation (as per accounts)
  • Attend Client Meetings with Property Managers

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial parties
  • Good communication skills over the telephone, via email and in-person
  • Some experience of working with budgets and/or preparation and understanding of KPI reporting and accounts
  • Strong Investigation skills
  • Medium to advanced user of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word
  • Detail and customer focused
  • Organised
  • AAT qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in the property management industry is advantageous but not essential
  • A full UK driving licence and own car
