Our client is seeking a Financial Project Manager to drive the delivery and management of key strategic financial initiatives. This is a pivotal role that will support cross-functional teams to ensure robust financial oversight, strategic planning, and continuous process improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Finance Director in implementing the financial strategy and change programmes.
- Monitor individual project budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
- Analyse financial data and provide forecasting to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial tracking and reporting tools.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models for projects and grant-funded programmes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Review and improve financial processes and controls across departments.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems, such as accounting software.
- Develop documentation and training materials to enhance financial literacy and system use across the organisation.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide financial reporting to senior leadership.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and training to improve financial system use and literacy.
- Collaborate with team members for smooth delivery of projects and programmes.
- Provide support and cover for finance operations as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial management and project management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial forecasting and modelling.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- Experience with financial systems and software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
