Talentedge are delighted to be working with a growing non-profit charity based in Blackburn. You will be reporting directly to the CFO and working within a friendly and welcoming team. The main purpose for the role is to provide efficient and effective financial and administrative support to the trust. To process financial transactions in a timely manner and to maintain accurate financial records. This role is ideal for anyone with similar experience and looking for a positive environment to work and grow in!
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure financial records as well as retaining evidence for internal and external auditors.
- Successfully and efficiently manage 2 different accounts
- Ensure all financial transactions are made in compliance with the company handbook and Financial Regulations
- Support in the production of monthly management accounts.
- Ensure that month end tasks are completed in accordance with the published timetable
- Carry out reconciliations as required
- Ensure that outstanding debts and monies owed are collected and accurately recorded.
- Provide support to budget holders with regular updates of matters relating to their budget.
- Assist in the preparation for the annual audit and to support in the delivery of the internal audit function.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
Key skills and experience
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Previous public sector experience is desirable but NOT essential
