Job Title: Finance OfficerLocation: Tower Hamlets, LondonContract: Temporary (with a view to becoming permanent)Start Date: ASAP/SeptemberAbout the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our school in Tower Hamlets. This is a key role in our administrative team, responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with school financial procedures.Key Responsibilities:

• Processing purchase orders (POs), invoices, and payments
• Managing BACS payments and reconciliation
• Using FMS and Xero for financial tracking and reporting
• Supporting budget monitoring and financial audits
• Liaising with suppliers, staff, and external agencies
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in a school finance role
• Strong working knowledge of FMS, Xero, and financial systems
• Experience with BACS, purchase orders, and invoice processing
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
